Jeremy Isbell and his wife returned home Thursday evening only to discover an errant dummy bomb had targeted their Tulsa apartment bathroom.  Besides losing electricity, the National Guard bomb had blown out the Isbell’s bathroom wall.

Apparently the 22 lb. BDU-33 practice bomb impacted the apartment complex at speeds of approximately 600 miles per hour.  Fortunately no injuries were reported.

It is unclear how the practice bomb released.  The National Guard  believe it somehow inadvertently released as the pilot headed from the Tulsa Air National Guard Base to Salina, Kansas.  Federal authorities are also interested in what happened and are investigating.
